PAYMENTS
Our preferred form of payment is cash. Personal checks,
VISA and MASTERCARD are accepted, but may require any
bank processing fees be charged back to the customer.
We do require a 25% deposit before any work is started.
Should you cancel your project after the pistol has been
logged in, there will be a processing fee of $35 deducted
from your deposit. If the work has been partially
completed or special parts obtained, you will be
responsible for that work and/or the parts. Final payment
on pickup of the completed work will require cash,
certified check or money order.
Where appropriate, the prices shown include any parts
required to complete that specific task. We normally
retain any replaced or unused parts. To attempt to re-use
or restore these parts to your customized pistol is not
prudent. It could create an unreliable or even unsafe
pistol.

CHANGES OR ADDITIONS
For the sake of clarity and sincere desire that you get
exactly what you want, please think your project through
as completely as possible. Changes to a work in progress
can be confusing and may delay completion.
Any significant changes need to be made in person or in
writing. Substantial changes may require an additional
deposit. Changes made by telephone will suspend work
until written confirmation and/ or additional deposit is
received.
We realize that people do change their minds, so the
first change/addition is free. After that, there will be
an additional charge of $25 for each subsequent change.

INQUIRIES ON WORK IN PROGRESS
Bear in mind that the work we do is non-linear in nature
and has a lot of starts and stops. This at times makes a
specific pistol hard to track. If you call to check on
your pistol, we will need the number from your work
order. (Yes, you have been reduced to a faceless,
nameless number yet again). We may not be able to give
you any information, other than whether it's done, on
demand. it may take up to 48 hours to respond in detail.
Interrupting the gunsmith process to track down a
specific pistol is not the best use of valuable bench
time.
When you place your order we will give you an anticipated
delivery time. This is a "best guess". Murphy
was right . . . "Stuff happens!". Sometimes we
are not correct. Please be assured that completing your
project in a timely manner is of the utmost importance to
us. We don't get paid if the work is not finished! It is
in our best interest to complete your work as efficiently
and quickly as possible.
So call us if you feel the need, but realize that if we
are looking for your pistol, we are not working on
ANYBODY'S pistol. Conversely, if we're looking for
someone else's pistol, we are definitely not working on
yours. See the problem? We won't keep it a secret - when
your pistol is done, we are going to let you know right
away.

MAIL ORDER INSTRUCTIONS
At present it is perfectly legal for the owner of a
pistol to ship that pistol directly to a gunsmith for
repair or modification, and receive it directly back. We
recommend shipment be made by United Parcel Service or
Federal Express, not the U.S. Postal Service.
The pistol needs to be packaged securely so that it won't
slide around in transit, and so that the sights won't get
banged. If the box rattles when you shake it, start over.
Make sure you insure the contents for their replacement
value. Please include your complete name, address,
daytime phone number, make, model, serial number, and a
clear list of the work desired.
Confirmation of receipt of your pistol will be in the
form of a copy of the proposed work order. This will be
mailed to you within 48 hours of the pistol's arrival.
You can include your 25% deposit (estimated) or you can
wait for the detailed work order. For mail orders,
deposit by personal check is acceptable. Final payment
needs to be a cashier's check or money order. When your
pistol is ready, we will phone you with the balance and
make arrangements at that time.
We will return your pistol by UPS Ground Service,
insured. UPS Second Day Air (Blue Label) and UPS
Overnight (Red Label) are available at substantially
higher costs.
